It’s Flag Day at The Nuthatch

June 14 is Flag Day in the U.S.A. At Nuthatch Cabin, we fly the colors from a weathered driftwood staff. (The stars-and-stripes we reserve for Memorial Day or Veterans Day, in honor of our parents who served in WWII.) A milestone Barbara and I always remember: We returned to San Diego Bay from our sailing cruise to Mexico 24 years ago today.
